Privacy Policy
Asckey Data Services Ltd (Asckey) has produced this privacy statement to demonstrate our commitment to respecting your privacy and personal information. The policy below outlines the information that we may collect and how we may use it.
How we gather and use personal information
Asckey will not collect any personally identifiable information about you (e.g. name, address, e-mail address, credit card number, expiration date) without you agreeing to provide it to us on a voluntary basis.
We will collect information if you sign up for any of our newsletters, request information regarding our products/services or purchase any of the same. We may store and process this information in order to better understand your needs and to provide after sales support. Through cookies, we may also monitor your use of our website to help improve their design, layout and content.
Our use of Cookies
Like many websites, we use text files known as ‘cookies’ to gather information, which helps us to provide useful features to our customers and other interested visitors. Through Google Analytics, we can also use cookies to record how often you visit the site and the areas you visit within it.
Although they can identify a user’s computer, cookies themselves do not personally identify users. You can set your browser to refuse cookies if you wish to; however, you may not be able to take full advantage of our web site if you do.
Session storage
Our fmfirst® applications use session storage which allows the system to store data for the duration of a user’s session. This method provides a temporary place to store information such as user activity but disappears once the session has ended. Local storage allows the system to store data directly on a user’s browser within their account. Data stored in local storage doesn’t get transmitted to the server with every request, making it an efficient way to store information locally.
Will Asckey sell my personal information to other Companies?
No. Asckey will not give or sell your personal information to any outside organisation for that organisation’s own use without your consent.
Financial information
We use financial information collected from you only to invoice you for products and services you have bought should this be necessary. At this time, unique identifiers may be collected to verify your identity.
Data security
Asckey takes the security of Personal Information seriously. To protect any Personal Information that you have provided us with against accidental or unlawful use, destruction, loss or alteration, Asckey uses technical and organisational security measures to prevent any unauthorised disclosure or access. This includes adhering to the processes contained within the scope of our ISO27001 (Data Security) accreditation.
Data sharing
We may on occasion, team up with other businesses to enable us to provide special services to you. We may need to use some or all the information that you provide to us, but this will not take place without your expressed written consent. You will be given every opportunity to opt out of such agreement either before commencement or during the agreed sharing period.
Asckey may disclose personal information if required to do so by law or in the good-faith belief that such action is necessary to a) conform with the law, or; b) protect and defend the rights or property of Asckey, the site or the users of Asckey’s site.
Updating or changing information we hold
We will undertake an annual review of data held to ensure that the reason we hold it complies with the requirements of the UK General Data Protection Requirements. If it does not, it will be deleted.
In addition, you can email us at any time on sales@asckey.com to enquire as to the information we hold about you. We will advise you of the nature of the data and the length it has been held. Any request for deletion is required to be confirmed by email to the address above.
