Before joining Asckey, Chris Simkins had a 26-year career in the RAF in Logistics. In the last 2 years of his service, he was a Systems & Support Manager for RAF Logistics IT systems on a global scale.
This experience has been incredibly beneficial to Asckey. His service background is perfect for his role at Asckey especially when dealing with the NHS as he understands how government departments work.
What do you like best about your role at Asckey?
In this role, I wear many hats. I’m part of the Senior Management Team and am responsible for the Company’s ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 27001, and Cyber Essentials Plus accreditations. Another hat I wear is the lead Health and Safety officer for the business.
No one day is the same and I love the variation.
What do you like to do away from work?
In my spare time, I love walking and spending time with my family, especially the grandchildren.
I also really enjoy building and flying radio control model aircraft.
The best thing about being part of the Asckey team?
It is being involved in all aspects of the business.

Winter Olympics
Where has been your best holiday destination?
The Maldives.
